Three Phase Soft Starters

The three phase soft starter connects between the contactor and the motor. While it does reduce the starting current and provide compressor reverse protection, its main function is to reduce locked rotor amperage (LRA) at startup to provide a more controlled start to limit the mechanical noise and shock of a three phase motor or compressor.

The three phase soft starter is also designed to learn the motor characteristics of the load. After a few starts it will have automatically adjusted itself to the load and the electrical supply impedance at the site. Contact us for more information.
