Sure-Start 6

This product has been developed specifically to soft-start large single phase compressors and motors. It provides a dramatic reduction in the starting current but still provides full start torque.  It will automatically adjust itself to cover the range 3 to 6Hp.  It is fully self contained in a conveniently small double insulated enclosure.

Two versions are available, a “slave” which is used in conjunction with a contactor, and a “master” which includes the function of the contactor.

 

Features

· Limitation of starting current to less than 45 Amps

· A substantial reduction in light flicker.

· Self adjusting to motor current - no manual adjustment or calibration necessary

· Many motor protection functions:

                                 - Low voltage shutdown

                                 - Locked rotor recognition and shutdown

                                 - Delay function to limit number of motor starts                                  per hour

· Thyristor protected contactor for long life (only in the                    

· master model)

· No extra motor contactor needed (only in the master model)

· Internal timing prevents rapid cycling faults

· Useful for non-grid application

· Self diagnostics

· Easy Installation– Can be supplied with an optional wiring harness.
