The single phase soft starter comes in both a master and a slave version. The soft starter provides a dramatic reduction in startup current, typically up to 70%, but still provides full startup torque for compressors and motors. This will eliminate light flicker, reduce startup noise, and extend the life of the motor or compressor. Single phase soft starters are suitable for 1.5 to 7 horse power motors and are availble in 115V or 220/230V models. Plus, all single phase models work in both 60Hz and 50Hz applications.

The three phase soft starter is designed to significantly reduce startup torque and noise caused by many three phase motors locked rotor amperage (LRA). The startup torque can be reduced by approximately 70% and the startup current reduction is typically 40% without compromising the full startup current required. Three phase soft starters are suitable for 2 to 20 horse power motors and are available in a 60Hz or 50Hz model.
